Photo goes viral with the claim it’s of evacuation of settlements after Hezbollah’s threat

Accounts on “X” published a photo of a group of people carrying bags and Israeli flags, claiming that it was taken recently, showing the evacuation of Israeli settlements after Hezbollah threatened to immediately evacuate the residents of 25 settlements,“Evacuate them immediately by order from #Hezbollah.”

Kashif verified the photo via “Google Images” tool and found that the photo is old and the claim is misleading. Photographer Mustafa Al-Kharouf, told Kashif that the photo was taken on 11/7/2023 of a gathering of Israelis at Ben Gurion Airport to protest the Knesset’s vote on the judicial reform bill.

Anadolu Image published the photo on 11/7/2023, captioned: “Israeli Knesset passes bill in first reading to limit court powers, TEL AVIV, Israel – July 11: Israelis gather at Ben Gurion Airport to protest against Knesset’s vote on a judicial overhaul bill, in Tel Aviv, Israel on July 11, 2023. Hezbollah published a video on 26/10/2024 calling on the residents of 25 Israeli settlements to evacuate immediately after they have become a place for Israeli army deployment, adding: “The 25 settlements have become legitimate military targets for the air and missile forces of the Islamic Resistance.”
