Accounts on X posted a video divided into three clips showing a man from the Gaza Strip carrying dead children, claiming that the man is an actor carrying the children and faking their deaths. The claim reads: “Fake. This idiot is not the father, he is an actor, and the child is not real. Secondly, this actor has been all over Gaza and done the exact same thing with other baby dolls… Because he’s an actor, so 3 different locations with dolls. The media sees him as real, the demented”.

Kashif the claim and found it to be misleading. Kashif’s team looked into the video and contacted the man holding the children, Nasr Shaheen, who explained that these videos are real and were taken in two separate incidents at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. He added that these children are not his children and that he does not have children, but that he is at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital because he was displaced near the hospital, and when children are murdered, he carries them and cries for them.

Journalist Ashraf Abu Amra, told Kashif that the first video (on the left of the screen) of Nasr Shaheen carrying the girl wearing black pants in was taken Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital on 12 February 2024.

The second video clip (in the middle of the screen) of the man carrying the child wearing yellow was taken on 2 January 2024 in Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital as well.

Kashif also contacted journalist Youssef Al-Sayfi , who filmed the third video (right of the screen), who explained that he had documented the same scene from another angle on 12 February 2024.

Kashif also examined the details of the first video from the left of the screen and the third from the right, and found that the young man and the child were wearing the same clothes. Both were filmed in Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, but from different angles.
