A photo was shared on social media as of an explosions at the headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah in Syria, “The violent explosions that occurred at the headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah a short while ago in the countryside of Homs and Hama.”
Kashif verified the image via “Google Images” tool and found that it is old. The image dates back to an Israeli raid on the Gaza Strip in 2018, not to explosions at the headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah in Syria.
Anadolu Agency published the photo on 29-12-2018 in a report titled: “Israeli Airstrike on the Gaza Strip in response to a rocket fired from the Strip, according to the Israeli Army Spokesperson. The report stated that the Israeli occupation army launched an airstrike on the Gaza Strip at dawn on Saturday, 29-12-2018, no injuries were reported. This came after a rocket was fired from the strip.
The Israeli occupation army targeted military sites in the countryside of Homs and Hama in Syria, on Sunday evening, 6/10/2024.
For its part, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported that “Israeli aggression launched from the direction of northern Lebanon on Sunday, targeted a number of military sites in the central region, led to material losses.”
