The Palestine Red Crescent issued a statement denying that the bodies of the missing crews had been found.

On Friday evening, 28/3/2025, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) issued a statement denying reports that the bodies of missing ambulance crews had been found after they were targeted by Israeli forces in Rafah. Earlier, the PRCS had reported that they had not found the bodies of any of the missing crews, while they found the four ambulances completely destroyed and buried in sand.

On 23/3/2025, the Israeli occupation forces targeted four Red Crescent ambulances while carrying out their humanitarian mission in the Hashashin area of Rafah. The Red Crescent said in a statement: “An ambulance was subjected to heavy gunfire while transporting wounded persons, resulting in the injury of its crew. When three additional vehicles were sent to evacuate them, the Israeli occupation forces surrounded the area and detained the crews. The occupation also released one of the paramedics after he was severely beaten.” For the sixth day in a row, the fate of nine Palestine Red Crescent ambulance crews remains unknown, as the occupation army continues to prevent entry to the area to complete the search for the missing medical crews.
