A video clip of a child singing in front of tents and rubble was shared on social media,with the the following caption: “I keep saying since day one: 90% of what you see from Gaza is a orchestrated, edited, directed PR by a professional propaganda machine. Don’t believe? See how the videos are created. It’s not a journalist who happened to be there, it’s a whole crew. #Pallywood.”
Kashif verified the claim and found it to be misleading. The circulating video is of the backstage footage of Jawwal’s 2024 Ramadan, “Sa Tuonawer Fina Al-Al-dunia”, which highlights the scale of destruction and suffering Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the month of Ramadan, face.
Jawwal published the video clip on its YouTube channel on 10 March 2024, under the title: “We will enlighten the world – Jawwal Ramadan 2024.”
