Accounts on “X” recently published a video clip showing the moment missiles were launched, with the following claim: “Breaking: Air defense missiles were launched from Lebanon towards Israeli warplanes”.
Kashif verified the video via the “INVID” tool, and found that it is old and the claim is misleading. The video clip was published by the “Al-Jadeed” website on 1 August 2024 via Instagram, accompanied by the following title: “Dozens of rockets launched from Lebanon towards the Western Galilee”.
Sky News Arabia also published the video on YouTube on 1 August 2024, titled: “Breaking: First images of dozens of rockets launched from Lebanon towards the Western Galilee, northern Israel”.
On 22 September 2024, Hezbollah announced targeting the “Ramat David” base southeast of the city of Haifa, and the military industries complex of the Rafael company specializing in electronic means and equipment north of the city, with “Fadi 1” and “Fadi 2” missiles, while the Israeli occupation army launched raids on towns in southern Lebanon.
