Information attributed to the Israeli-Hebrew media has been widely shared on social media about the recovery of 5 bodies of Israeli prisoners during the liberation of prisoner Farhan al-Qadi by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip. The circulated claim stated: “In addition to the prisoner’s escape, there are 5 bodies that have been recovered and are on their way to be examined in Israel.”

Kashif’s Israeli-Hebrew affairs team verified the information and found it to be inaccurate, as the team did not find in the official sources of the Israeli occupation army and the Israeli-Hebrew media any information or mention of the recovery of 5 bodies of Israeli prisoners from the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation army spokesman also published an official statement announcing the release of an Israeli prisoner who was captured on 7 October 2023 in a joint operation between the Israeli occupation army and the Shin Bet intelligence service, Farhan al-Qadi, 52 years old, from the city of Rahat. The statement added that Farhan arrived at Soroka Hospital in good health, without disclosing any other information.

The statement did not mention the recovery of new bodies of Israeli prisoners during the operation.

With the release of prisoner Farhan Al-Qadi from the Gaza Strip, 108 Israeli prisoners are still in the Gaza Strip , 72 of whom are alive according to a statement by the Israeli occupation army.
