Accounts on “X” published a video clip of young men and women dancing inside a café to the song “My Blood is Palestinian” by the Palestinian artist Mohammed Assaf. The clip was accompanied by the following claim: “A nightclub celebration in the West Bank – Palestine after the Jordanian youth’s operation at the King Hussein Bridge”.
Kashif verified the claim and found it to be misleading. The video was taken inside a café in London called “Maramia Cafe“. Kashif compared the videos published by the cafe with the circulated video and found a match in location.
By examining the café’s accounts on Instagram and TikTok, the Observatory team noticed that the café publishes periodic videos similar to the circulated video, and had published videos in which the song “ My Blood is Palestinian ” was heard at different times.
Jordanian Maher Al-Jazi carried out a shooting operation at the Al-Karameh crossing on 8 Septemer 2024, which resulted in the killing of 3 Israeli elements working at the crossing.
