A statement attributed to the national and Islamic forces has spread on WhatsApp groups about declaring a comprehensive strike on Monday, 7/10\2024, throughout the West Bank and the world.
The statement read as follows: “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers. God Almighty is true, O sons of the West Bank, O sons of Palestine, O sons of Jenin, Al-Qassam, Tulkarm, the rapid response, Nablus, the Mountain of Fire, and all the cities of the West Bank, we, the factions of the national and Islamic forces in the West Bank, and after coordination with the brothers in the Fatah movement, call upon you to a comprehensive and general strike in the West Bank and the entire world tomorrow, Monday, corresponding to 7/10/2024, in commemoration of the great and glorious crossing, the crossing of the heroes of Gaza Hashem, who tasted the woes of the Zionist enemy army, and we call upon you to very large and massive marches from Jenin to Qalqilya, passing through Hebron and Ramallah, God willing, immediately after the Maghrib prayer, passing through the first anniversary of the great crossing that no Muslim on the face of the earth can forget, and this is the least duty upon us so that we do not make our people in Gaza think that we have failed, but by God we are doing what we can, including the strike that includes schools, universities, and shops. We inform you that the blood of the sons of Gaza and our sons will not go in this way, and it will have a response, O sons of Zion, and by God you will see the might of the West Bank, O Sons of Zionism, your brothers, the national and Islamic forces in the West Bank. Kashif verified the statement and found that it was fabricated. Kashif’s team contacted the coordinator of the national and Islamic forces in the West Bank, Wasil Abu Yousef, who in turn denied the statement, confirming that it was not issued by the national and Islamic forces. He pointed out that there are calls for for mass demonstrations and public events on Wednesday.
