A video clip showing a group of vehicles burning has recently spread on “X”, with the claim that they are in Israel. The video was accompanied by the following text: “This is how Hezbollah’s missiles burn Israel completely”.
Kashif verified the video via “Google Images” tool and found that it is old and the claim is misleading. The fire was started by Hamas rockets last October, not recently by Hezbollah. The Al Jazeera account on “X” published it on 7 October 2023, with the following text attached: “Scenes of the outbreak of fires in Ashkelon after being hit by resistance rockets launched from the Gaza Strip”.
On 7 October 2023, “Sepa Más” account on “X” published the video clip with the following text: “Aerial alert has been activated in several areas in Israel and the Israeli army indicated that during the last half hour, rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territory”.
The video clip circulated in a report published by the “Al-Mamar” newspaper on 17 October 2023, which stated that the video shows a large fire in a parking lot, as a result of a rocket launched by Hamas inside Gaza on Saturday, 7 October 2023.

The Israeli occupation army launched an aggression with hundreds of air raids on southern and eastern Lebanon and the southern suburb of Beirut since Monday 23 September 2024, and Hezbollah responded with barrages of missiles and drones that reached Tel Aviv, Haifa, Nahariya, Safed, Afula and the West Bank settlements.
