A video clip consisting of two scenes showing a wild fire and boxes of vegetables has spread on social media accompanied by the following claim: “A scene from inside the headquarters of the 91st Division in the Israeli Elite Barracks after it was targeted by Hezbollah missiles!”
Kashif verified the video via the “INVID” tool and found that the claim is misleading. Palestinian media outlets published the circulating video on 5 August 2024 stating that the scenes show fires breaking out inside the Nablus market after the Israeli occupation forces threw burning tires inside it. Kashif noted that the circulating video contains the logo of Al-Mayadeen channel, which stated that the video is from the Nablus market.
Journalist Mohammed Al-Atrash, told Kashif that he was present during the event in the city of Nablus, explaining that during its storming of the city, the Israeli occupation army moved burning tires inside the central market in Nablus, which led to fire breaking out and burning large parts of it. The Israeli occupation army also obstructed the work of the firefighting crews, 4 members were injured.
Hezbollah announced on Monday 5 August 2024, the launching of a series of operations targeting Israeli military sites, confirming that they hit their targets and caused deaths and injuries among the ranks of the Israeli occupation army.
