Wrong linking to a video of the Azerbaijani state security service arresting a group of individuals to be members of Hamas capturing Israeli army generals

A video showing masked officers arresting a number of individuals circulated on social media with the claim it shows Israeli generals arrested by Hamas.

The claim: “Their generals in the hands of Hamas, a treasure, O Hamas” + #Alaqsa_flood

The Correction: The video shows the Azerbaijani state security service arresting an armed group in Karabakh region on 5^th October 2023.

Kashif was able to verify through the reverse image tool, and public sources that the video actually shows members of Azerbaijan’s state security service “DTX”, as can be seen on their vests, arresting individuals who created armed groups in the Karabakh region on 5^th October 2023 according to the official Azerbaijan state security service on YouTube, DTX official channel.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Hamas movement, captured a number of soldiers and officers of the Israeli army as part of the ongoing Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which was announced on the morning of Saturday, 7^th October 2023.
