A video has spread on social media showing a group of young men, with one of them in the front singing the anthem “My Soul Was Captivated, O Martyr,” with the claim that the singer is the spokesperson for the Al-Quds Brigades, Najeh Abu Seif – Abu Hamza. The video was accompanied by the following caption: “May God have mercy on your pure soul, Abu Hamza.”
Kashif verified the information and found it to be misleading. Kashif’s team contacted the man singing in the video, Mohammad Al-Sharif from the Gaza Strip, who confirmed that the video was taken of him at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis in 2023.
Al-Sharif, posted the video on his Facebook page on 31/1/2025, with the following description: “Joy of the injured as they leave the rooms, listening to the singer, Mohammad Al-Sharif.”

The Islamic Jihad Movement announced the killing of the spokesperson of its military wing, Al-Quds Brigades, Naji Abu Saif, known as “Abu Hamza,” along with his wife, Shaima Abu Saif, his brother Ghassan Maher Abu Saif, his wife Sarah Abu Saif (Sabah), and their son Saif Ghassan Maher Abu Saif. Dima Maher Abu Saif was also martyred in an Israeli raid on the Gaza Strip at dawn on Tuesday, 17/3/2025.
