    A video clip showing a huge explosion has been circulating on social media , with claims that it was in Tel Aviv. The video was accompanied by the following text: “Tel Aviv is burning, a scene that made the descendants of Muawiyah and Zionism cry.”

    One source of the claim

    Kashif verified the video via reverse search on Google and found that it is old and incorrectly linked to an explosion that occurred in the southern suburb of Beirut. Asharq Al-Awsat website published the video on Facebook on 1/10/2024 with the following title: “Huge explosions in the southern suburb.”

    “skynewsarabia” also published the video on 1/10/2024 under the title “Violent raids target the southern suburb of Beirut.” The website mentioned in the video description that Israeli raids targeted the southern suburb of Beirut on Monday evening, 30/9/2024.

    As for the audio clip attached to the video, it’s of a broadcaster on Al Arabiya TV during a coverage of the sirens sounding in Tel Aviv via a video clip posted on YouTube on 7/10/2023 with the following title: “A night of terror in Israel. Sirens sound in Tel Aviv after the resistance launched 150 rockets.” The circulated clip is between 0.32 seconds and 0.47 seconds long.

    On Monday, 30/9/2024, the Israeli occupation army launched a series of violent raids targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut, causing major explosions.

    The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Tuesday evening, 1/10/2024, that it had targeted 3 military bases in Israel with a missile attack. It confirmed that this operation came in response to the assassination of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, and the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah.

    Channel 12 reported that Iran launched 181 ballistic missiles targeting several areas across the occupied state. No official reports have been issued until the publishing of this verification regarding the results or losses of the missile attack.
