A video of a train stuck in water
circulated on social media with the caption, “The water pumped by the Israeli army into the resistance’s tunnels in Gaza is flooding the train which connects the cities of Sderot and Ashkelon.”
Kashif verified the video and found it to be misleading. The video is old and posted by the account, “Maphur Dilmaz aksan”, on 26 September 2021 of a train stuck due to the flood in New Jersey, USA at the time.
International media outlets reported that the Israeli army launched an operation of pumping sea-water into Hamas’s tunnels complex in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army refused to comments on the news, and said that it has different techniques for the tunnels.
