Accounts on “X” recently published a video clip of a body on the ground, claiming that it was of an Israeli pilot who fell in Gaza. The video was accompanied by the following text: “Breaking: A warplane was shot down and the pilot who bombed Palestinian civilians descended by parachute in central Gaza.”

One of the sources of the claim

Kashif verified the video via Google and found that the video is old and the claim is misleading, as the video was circulated on 7/10/2023.

Quds News Agency published the video on the Telegram platform on 7/10/2023, with the following text: “Historical scenes.. Resistance fighters from the Gaza Strip manage to drag the body of an occupation soldier towards the Gaza Strip.”

Quds News Agency also published the same video on Telegram on 7/10/2023, with the following description: “Press coverage: The resistance drags the body of an Israeli occupation soldier killed in the “envelope” settlements to Khan Yunis.”

The Commander-in-Chief of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, Muhammad Deif , announced on Saturday morning 7/10/2023 the start of “Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa in response to the crimes of the Israeli occupation.”

He added that dozens of rocket barrages were launched from Gaza towards areas in Israel, coinciding with the infiltration of resistance fighters into the settlements surrounding Gaza.

Since then, the Israeli occupation has been launching an aggression on the Gaza Strip, which, according to the latest update from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, has resulted in the killing of 43,552 citizens and the injury of 102,800 others.

The Israeli occupation army announced the killing of 782 officers and soldiers since October 7, 2023, including 368 since the start of the ground operation on the Gaza Strip.
