Social media accounts posted a series of scenes, claiming they were recent and related to Yemen, as follows:
First, accounts circulated a video clip documenting a blaze of fire, claiming it was a recent one in the Al-Hudaydah Governorate in western Yemen. The clip was accompanied by the following text: “Breaking, Al Hudaydah now.”

Kashif verified the clip via Google Images search and found it to be old and falsely linked to the recent US airstrikes on Hudaydah . “meftahasamdi” TikTok account posted the video on 20/7/2024, and stated that it documents the aftermath of the Israeli occupation army’s bombing of the port of Al Hudaydah
at that time.

Second: The accounts reposted a video clip showing moments of a massive bombing, claiming it was a recent incident in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a. The clip was accompanied by the following text: “Breaking: oh my God, Sana’a is on fire.”

After verifying the video, Kashif found that it’s old and falsely linked to US airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sana’a. CNN Arabic published the video on 29/9/2024, and explained that it depicted an Israeli air force attack on the Yemeni coastal city of Hudaydah.
BBC also published the same video on 30/9/2024, stating that the clip “was circulated on social media and shows a massive explosion in the port of Hudaydah.”

Third: Accounts circulated a video clip of the moment a missile fell, claiming it was recent and documenting the Iron Dome’s failure to intercept a ballistic missile coming from Yemen.

Kashif’s team found the video to be old and the claim misleading. It was posted on YouTube by Al-Arabiya channel on 21/12/2024, with the following caption: “Israel says it failed to intercept a missile coming from Yemen.”

On 20/3/2025, the official spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that Ben Gurion Airport had been targeted with a hypersonic ballistic missile. Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen before it could cross Israeli airspace.
Fourth: The accounts published a video clip of a bomber flight, claiming that it was recent and that it shows American bombers heading to the Middle East. The clip was accompanied by the following text: “9 fuel tankers carrying 3 B1, B2, and B52 bombers on their way to the Middle East.”

Kashif verified the video and found it to be old and falsely linked to the US sending a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East. The clip was posted on 13/6/2024, by Instagram account “SKY FIGHTERS CLUB”, which specializes in military aviation content. The caption reads, “If you see them, you’re not the target! US Air Force B-1 Lancer, B-2 Spirit, and B-52 Stratofortress bombers flying in formation.”

On 21/3/2025, CNN Arabic reported that a US official stated that his country was sending a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East in light of the US military’s ongoing attacks in Yemen.
The United States is launching attacks on Yemen, with US President Donald Trump vowing to “completely eliminate” the Houthis. The Houthis have resumed missile attacks on Israel as the latter resumes its aggression against the Gaza Strip.
