Social media accounts posted a photo showing people gathered on the rubble of buildings, claiming that it was in Lebanon. The photo was accompanied by the following text: “Today’s photo from Lebanon. Lebanon is starting to turn into a second Gaza. This is what Hezbollah and Iran have brought to the Lebanese people.”
Kashif verified the photo and found that it was incorrectly linked to the Israeli bombing of Lebanon, as the photo documents the massacre of the Alloush family in Jabalia.
Photographer Abdul Rahim Khatib, who took the circulated photo, told Kashif that it documents the massacre of the “Alloush” family in Jabalia, which was carried out by the Israeli occupation on Sunday, 10/11/2024.
Photographer Mahmoud Bassam also posted the photo on his Instagram account “mahmoudbassam8” on 11/10/2024, and accompanied the photo with a text that read: “More than thirty martyrs were killed in Jabalia.”
The Israeli occupation army committed a new massacre against civilians in a residential building belonging to the Alloush family, at dawn on Sunday, 10/11/2024. The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported that the Jabalia massacre resulted in the martyrdom of 36 Palestinians, including 13 children.
