Accounts on X published a video clip of a large explosion, claiming that it was due to Russian forces targeting warehouses in Idlib, Syria, “Russian space forces target huge warehouses of Turkish terrorist jihadists in Idlib.”
Kashif verified the video via reverse search on Google, and found that the video is old and incorrectly linked. The video shows a gas station explosion in Yemen and was published by an account called sr_____424 on TikTok on 31/8/2024. and stated in the comments that it documents a gas station explosion in Aden Governorate in Yemen.
The same video was also published by an account called Abdul Salam on 318/31/2024 on YouTube, titled: “Oh God, protect Aden from burning . ”
On 31/8/2024, Arab media outlets, including Al Jazeera, published a composite video clip showing various scenes documenting the explosion of the gas station in Aden Governorate in Yemen, which led to the death of four people and the injury of 10 others.
The Russian army announced on Sunday 1/12/2024 that it “is helping the Syrian army repel opposition factions in three northern provinces of the country, as part of Moscow’s support for President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on 1/12/2024 that the Syrian regime forces sent large reinforcements and repositioned themselves in strategic areas in the northern and western Hama countryside, in light of the decline in the intensity of the battles after the opposition factions took control of the cities of Morek, Kafr Zita, Al-Lataminah and Khan Sheikhoun in the Hama and Idlib countrysides.
