A picture of a huge fire and smoke has recently spread on social media, with the claim that it of the “TAA” company in Tel Aviv after it was targeted by Hezbollah, “Breaking: now, Hezbollah is targeting the “TAA” military industries company in the suburbs of Tel Aviv.”
Kashif verified the image via “Google Images” tool, and found that it is old and wrongly linked to Hezbollah’s targeting of the “TAA” military industries company. The image is of a fire that broke out in the Royal Plastics Factory in the city of Hebron last February
Facebook accounts published the circulated photo on 27-28\2\2024 and stated that it shows a fire that broke out in Royal Factory in Hebron on 27\2\2024. Kashif’s team was also able to access a video documenting the Royal Factory fire that matches the angle of the circulated photo
Kashif also contacted the Royal Factory photographer at the time, Mohammed Abu Arafa, who confirmed that the photo dates back to the burning of the Royal Factory in Hebron in late February of last year
Hezbollah announced in a statement that it “targeted the TAA Military Industries Company in the suburbs of Tel Aviv using qualitative missiles” on 21/10/2024
