Social media accounts recently published a photo of Sara Netanyahu, the wife of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, receiving an injection, with the claim that she is receiving treatment in the hospital after her residence was targeted by a drone last Saturday, “Sara, Netanyahu’s wife is still receiving treatment in the hospital after suffering a heart attack and a psychological breakdown after her bedroom was hit by a drone from Lebanon.”
Kashif verified the image via “Google Images” and found that it is old and the claim is misleading. The image is of Sara Netanyahu receiving the Corona vaccine in 2020, i.e. before the targeting of Netanyahu’s residence on 19/10/2024.
Benjamin Netanyahu posted the photo on his X account on 24/12/2020, along with the following text: “My wife Sara received the Corona vaccine today as per the Ministry of Health’s standards. I am proud that the millions of vaccines we have brought and the excellent work of the Ministry of Health and health teams have made Israel the world champion in vaccines.”
As Sara Netanyahu stated on Monday, 21/10/2024, in response to the drone attack on her residence in Caesarea, “The drone attack is an attempt to assassinate me and my husband. This is not only an attack on us personally, but also on Israel and its people.”
The office of the Israeli Prime Ministe reported on Saturday, 19/10/2024, that a drone launched from Lebanon targeted Netanyahu’s private home in Caesarea, north of Israel, and stated that he and his family were not present inside the house.
The media relations official of Hezbollah, Muhammad Afif, announced on Tuesday 22/10/2024 that Hezbollah was responsible for targeting the residence of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in Caesarea with a drone last Saturday.
