User “Farida Khan” tweeted on the ex-Twitter platform: “I am Al-Jazeera journalist working in Khan Yunis, Gaza. I saw with my eyes that the rocket is from Hamas “Ayash 250” rocket. It was Hamas misfired rocket. AlJazeera is lying I have a video that Hamas missile landing in the hospital.”

The correction: False. Aljazeera denies having a journalist with the name “Farida Khan”.
Kashif verified that the account was an impersonator. The observatory contacted the Al-Jazeera office director in Ramallah, Walid Al-Omari, who confirmed that there is no such Al-Jazeera correspondent with the name “Farida Khan” and that they are working to delete this impersonated account.
The account also restricted access to his publications to the general public and limited it to its followers only. In addition, Al Jazeera channel posted a tweet on its official account on X: “Disclaimer: X / Twitter account @_Faridakhan falsely claims to belong to Al Jazeera. So we make it clear: this account has nothing to do with Aljazeera, its opinions, or content.
