Social media accounts posted a video showing a doctor, a nurse, and someone pushing a patient on a bed in front of them a person filming, captioned: “Trailer of the new Pallywood movie that’s getting released on December 20th.” Accusing Palestinians of faking their injuries.
This comes as part of the “Pallywood” campaign which casts doubt on the existence and numbers of Palestinians killed and wounded in the Gaza Strip and accuses Palestinians of acting to gain international sympathy.
Kashif verified the claim and found to be it misleading, the person lying on the bed is Moroccan actor Karim Doniazal. Doniazal posted the video on his Instagram on 30 October 2023 with the teaser “Soon” and hashtags including cinema and Hollywood.
