Accounts on X published a photo showing a fire breaking out in the Golan Heights, claiming that the photo was recent from Hezbollah’s targeting of the Rafael Technology Company in Haifa, “Haifa is burning, the largest military technology company is now burning”.
Kashif verified the image via reverse image search on “google image”, and found that the image is old and documents a fire in the occupied Golan Heights, not in Haifa. The image was published by Ynet on 4 June 2024 of a fire in the Katzrin area in the occupied Golan Heights, as a result of Hezbollah targeting Israeli sites with more than 150 missiles and 20 drones, which led to fires in many sites in the occupied Galilee and Golan Heights.
On 4 June 2024 , Hezbollah announced that it had bombed the headquarters of the Golan Division with more than 200 missiles, and that it had carried out an air attack by suicide drones on the headquarters of the Israeli occupation army.
