Accounts on X published a photo of former Israeli prisoner Noa Argamani in the Jordanian city of Petra, claiming that the photo was taken recently during her visit to Jordan. The photo was accompanied by several texts, including: “The Israeli prisoner who was held by Hamas and was released in a special operation is relaxing in #Jordan, Petra region.”

Kashf verified the claim via reverse image search and found that the photo is old and the claim is misleading. Argamani posted it on her personal Instagram page @noargamqni on 25 August 2023, before 7 October 2023 and not during a recent visit to the Jordanian city of Petra.

video clip was widely shared on social media on 7 October 2023, showing Noa Argamani riding a motorcycle at the moment of her capture in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation army announced the liberation of 4 Israeli prisoners from the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip on 8 June 2024, namely: “Noa Argamani (25 years old), Almog Meir Gan (21 years old), Andrei Kozlov (27 years old), and Shlomi Ziv (40 years old). During the operation the Israeli occupation army committed a massacre in the Masriyat camp, killing 274 Palestinians according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

On 7 October 2023, Hamas began a military operation called “Al-Aqsa Flood,” during which it fired thousands of rockets at the cities surrounding Gaza, reaching Tel Aviv. Approximately 1,200 fighters from the Qassam Brigades, supported by 1,500 other fighters from specialized units, attacked more than 55 military targets in the “Gaza Division”.

In an audio message on 7 October 2023, Mohammed Deif, the commander-in-chief of the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said, “In light of these ongoing crimes (the occupation’s crimes) against our people, in light of the occupation’s rampage and its denial of state laws and decisions, in light of American and Western support and international silence, we have decided to put an end to all of this with God’s help, so that the enemy understands that the time has come for it to rampage without being held accountable. We announce the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood”.

on 7 October 2023, Israel launched a war on the Gaza Strip, since, 40,000 Palestinian citizens were killed and more than 92,400 people were wounded, according to the latest update from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

691 Israeli officers and soldiers were killed since 7 October, including 331 since the start of the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip on 27 October 2023, according to the latest update from the Israeli occupation army.
