Social media accounts posted a photo of five female fighters, claiming they were Israeli doctors killed in Rafah, “Israeli Radio: Five female doctors, part of the military ambulance crew in Rafah, were blown to bits while trying to rescue injured officers.”
Israeli-Hebrew affairs team at Kashif verified the claim and found it to be misleading. It searched the media and official Hebrew websites and found no mention of the circulating information.
Meanwhile, Kashif’s team found that the Hebrew website “Ynet” had published the circulated photo in a report dated 25 October 2024, and stated that it was of five female fighters from the Caracal unit in the occupation army who treated dozens of wounded people on 7 October 2023.
The website stated that they were: unit nurse Nitzan Tarshish, paramedic Ariel Roman, ambulance driver Moriya Amar, battalion medics Uri Halamish, and Hanin Bistritzky, on their way to the settlement outpost.
The Israeli occupation army announced the killing of three of its soldiers and the serious injury of an officer in an ambush north of the Gaza Strip on Monday, 14 July 2025. The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that a massive explosion occurred inside a Merkava tank, catching fire while the soldiers were inside.
The latest announcement made by Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, on Tuesday, 15 July 2025, was that it had targeted an armored personnel carrier with two “Yassin 105” missiles near the battalion’s mosque in the western Satar area, north of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
