The Lebanese-Syrian border witnessed armed clashes on Sunday night, in addition to the Syrian army’s shelling of the Lebanese Al-Qasr area. This came after the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that a group of Hezbollah members had ambushed and kidnapped three Syrian army personnel on the Lebanese border, before taking them to Lebanese territory and executing them. However, Hezbollah denied in a statement its involvement in the events that took place on the Lebanese-Syrian border “categorically.”
