Information circulated on Facebook claiming that “Bank of Palestine will introduce mobile ATM vehicles to meet the needs of Gaza residents.”
Kashif verified the claim and found it to be fabricated. Kashif contacted Rabee Dweikat, Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Bank of Palestine, who denied the information and confirmed that it is baseless.
Dweikat clarified to Kashif that the Bank of Palestine’s management is currently working on an emergency plan for its branches in Gaza, considering the security and field conditions in the region.
The circulation of this information coincides with the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Hamas in Gaza and the Israeli government, which is set to take effect on Sunday, 19/1/2025.
