A video was widely shared on social media claiming it shows “Arabs torching a police vehicle in Sweden”. Other user accounts published the video with the caption, “The West is next, in Sweden: Arabs torch a police vehicle in Sweden, Hamas = ISIS.”
The Claim: Arabs torch a police car in Sweden.
The correction: the video is a clip of the “Bloodland” film.
Kashif in collaboration with “Without Filter” platform, was able to identify that the video was old and used out of context. The clip is taken from the movie “Bloodland”, the two observatories found a video from another angle of the same scene in the “trailer” published on the YouTube channel of the BBC trailers entitled: Bloodlands: trailer |BBC trailers” on 1/2/2021.
