Cinematic tricks video republished claiming its of Palestinians faking injuries

Different social media pages shared a video titled, “Demand on make-up artists and actors increases in Gaza”. In the video children and women can be seen getting touch-ups of cinematic make-up.

The claim: the new forgery of Gaza residents. Children and women faking injuries with makeup

The correction: the video is old and was published during the filming of a cinematic drama in Gaza.

Kashif verified that the video is old and misleading. The video was originally published on YouTube via Gaza post on 25 February 2017, titled “Cinema tricks are an art that conveys Gaza in a different way to the world”.

The claim was published as part of the “Pallywood” campaign which casts doubt on the number of Palestinians killed and wounded in the Gaza Strip and accuses Palestinians of acting to gain international sympathy.

The Israeli occupation army’s aggression on Gaza, which started on 7 October 2023, has killed over 7305, and wounded over 18,567 others according to the latest updates by the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Israel has cut telecommunications, and internet services on Friday.
