Social media accounts posted a video of a massive explosion, claiming it was real, as the Israeli occupation army targeted the Arak nuclear reactor in Iran. The video was accompanied by the following description: “Dangerous and unusual: The force of the Israeli attack on the Arak reactor in Iran.”

    One source of the claim

Kashif verified the video via Google Images search and found that it was generated using artificial intelligence and does not document the occupation’s targeting of the Arak nuclear reactor in Iran.

cemilacyan” TikTok account posted the video on 18 June 2025, and explained that it was produced by artificial intelligence. The account also specializes in posting AI-generated videos, often related to explosions.

The video was posted on by TikTok account “cemilaciyan” on 18 June 2025.

Kashif found that the account had posted another video on the same date, 18 June 2025, similar to the circulating video, showing the explosion from a balcony. It also indicated that it was produced by artificial intelligence. Furthermore, the account indicates in the description that it produces AI-generated videos, including the following text: “Welcome to AI.”

A video similar to the one circulated by the “cemilaciyan” account.

Al Jazeera posted a video on its YouTube channel showing smoke rising after the Israeli occupation targeted the Arak nuclear reactor in Iran. The Israeli army also posted footage of the attack on the reactor. Comparing these scenes with the circulating video reveals differences in the nature of the explosion and the geographic location of the reactor.
