A photo of a corpse circulated on social media, claiming that it was the body of singer and artists Hamza Abu Qinais, “The body of the martyred Qassam singer, leader Hamza Abu Qinais.”
Kashif verified the photo and found that it was incorrectly linked. Kashif’s team contacted Khaled Al-Tirawi, business manager of Abu Qunais, who denied that the photo was of Hamza and confirmed that “until this moment, Hamza’s body, which is located in an area called Al-Karamah near the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and Jabalia, has not been reached. He also confirmed that the photo is of Motasem Haniyeh.
Enas Haniyeh confirmed to Kashif the photo was of the body of Motasem Haniyeh, who was killed on 15/10/2024. He is the nephew of the former director of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated on 31/7/2024 in Tehran.
Gazan singer Hamza Abu Qinas was killed on 14/10/2024 after being injured by the Israeli occupation targeting of his home in the northern Gaza Strip.
