Videos have spread on social media documenting the moment rockets were launched from Lebanon, and others documenting the damage caused by the rockets, with the claim that they were in the settlement of Karmiel, “Here is the settlement of Karmiel, their homes were destroyed.”
In another claim: “Enemy media: Footage of a rocket falling directly on a building in Karmiel this afternoon.”
Kashif verified the information and found it to be inaccurate. The videos document the moment the rockets fell and damaged the Arab town of Majd al-Krum, not the settlement of Karmiel, located in the Upper Galilee, east of the city of Haifa.
Journalist Maryam Saghir from the town of Majd al-Krum, confirmed to Kashif that these videos were from her town, Majd al-Krum and not in the settlement of Karmiel, located in the Upper Galilee, east of the city of Haifa.
The Israeli occupation army spokesman announced that at 14:16 on 16/10/2024, about 30 rockets were launched towards the settlements in the Karmiel area and its surroundings, and most of the rockets were intercepted.
The Hebrew website Ynet reported that the number of injuries in Majd al-Krum as a result of the rockets launched from Lebanon is 4 minor injuries and direct damage to homes.
