Accounts on X published a video clip showing extensive destruction of buildings, claiming that it was the result of Yemeni and Iranian missiles targeting Israel, “Some of the might of Yemeni drones deep inside Tel Aviv.”
The second claim stated: “These are the images that the Western and Zionist media do not show you of the Iranian supersonic missile attacks that hit the Zionist entity in Tel Aviv hard.”
Kashif verified the video via reverse search on Google, it found that the video documents the extent of the destruction resulting from the Israeli occupation raids on Beirut and not from Israel. The video was published by the Daily Mail website on YouTube on 2/10/2024 with the title: “Destructive effects of the Israeli bombing of Beirut.”
The same video was also published by an account called Time of Gaza on X on 3/10/2024, “The southern suburb of Beirut, Lebanon.”
On 2/10/2024, The Times published a photo showing a destroyed vehicle amidst the destruction in the southern suburbs of Beirut. This is the same vehicle that appears in the circulated video, and the photo was accompanied by the following text: “A destroyed car in Chiyah, the southern suburb of Beirut.”
