Two pictures of two different girls have been circulated on social media, with the claim that they are of the same girl who is among the rubble in the Gaza Strip. The picture was accompanied by the following text: “A global picture, a child from Gaza who survived the brutal Israeli-American killing machine, at the level of the era. This is the luckiest child in Gaza, Palestine. All my love to this little one.”
Kashif verified the two photos and found that they are of two different girls in two separate incidents, and neither of them are from Gaza. It had previously verified the first photo, which was taken from a video clip of the girl “Iman” from the Idlib countryside in northern Syria, and not from the Gaza Strip. At the time, the girl’s mother, Iman, told to Kashif that she was playing with her daughter by filming her through a drain hole in the house. She added that she had posted the video clip on her TikTok account, “userftdvvrl92i”, on 26/10/2024. Upon examining the girl’s mother’s account, Kashif found a group of video clips taken through a drain hole in the house, including a video clip showing the other side of the hole.
The second photo is of the child, Leen Ali Sweidan, from Lebanon, who was injured in an Israeli raid on her home in the Bekaa on 24/10/2024.
Ahmed Mohieddine from Lebanon, told Kashif that this photo is of child Leen Ali Sweidan, who was injured in an Israeli raid on her home in the Wadi Abu Ali area in the Bekaa. He added that the photo was taken when she arrived at Dar Al Amal University Hospital in Baalbek.

The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has been ongoing since October 7. According to the latest update from the Palestinian Ministry of Health on 26/10/2024, 42,924 citizens were killed, and 100,850 others were injured, the majority of whom were children and women.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health also announced, according to the latest statistics issued on 28/10/2024, that the number of Lebanese killed since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon rose to 2,792 and 12,772 wounded.
