Accounts on X published a video showing a building on fire, claiming that it was in Tel Aviv as a result of Hezbollah’s targeting, “This is not Lebanon, Sanaa, or Syria. It is Tel Aviv, burning with Hezbollah missiles.”
Kashif verified video via “Google Images” tool and found that it is old. The video is of a fire in a residential tower in the Emirates in 2023.
Al Jazeera channel published the video from a different angle on 28/6/2023 on YouTube, accompanied by the following title: “Firefighters battle a fire in a residential tower in the Emirate of Ajman in the UAE.” The video description read: “The Ajman Police in the United Arab Emirates published a video showing firefighters battling a fire that broke out in a residential tower, in order to control the fire.”
A report published by Al Arabiya, which included a video clip from a different angle, on 27/6/2023, stated that the Civil Defense teams in the Emirates extinguished a massive fire that broke out on Monday evening, 27/6/2023, in one of the towers in Ajman.
Upon examining the circulated video clip, Kashif’s team noticed that a clip from a song had been added to the circulated clip.
Hezbollah announced in a statement on Tuesday, 19/11/2024, that it “targeted the Glilot base, the headquarters of the military intelligence unit, on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, with a salvo of qualitative missiles.”
