Old scenes of Houthi targeting of Israel shared as recent

Accounts on “X” recently shared a video consisting of four scenes, claiming it documents recent Houthi attacks on Israeli targets. The video was accompanied by the caption: “Watch: A Yemeni missile disrupts Israeli airports and causes panic among settlers.”

Kashif verified the video using “Google Images” and found that the four scenes in the video are old and were incorrectly linked to the recent Houthi attacks on Israel. The scenes were originally published in 2021 and are unrelated to the recent events.

The first scene (0:00 – 0:14) shows a plane with missiles in the background. It was published by the YouTube channel DansDeals on 11/5/2021, with the caption: “Iron Dome over Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.”

Second scene (0:14 – 0:40)depicts missiles visible from inside an aircraft. It was shared by the YouTube channel AIRLIVE on 14/5/2021, with the caption: “Missiles from Gaza seen from a plane approaching Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.”

Third scene (0:41 – 0:58) shows people fleeing inside an airport as air raid sirens sound. It was posted by Quds News Network on “X” on 11/5/2021, with the following text: “Air raid sirens and resistance missiles paralyze movement at Ben Gurion Airport.”

Fourth scene (0:58 – End) depicts people rushing inside an airport. It was featured in a report by RT Arabic on 13/5/2021, under the title: “Video: Panic at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport during Palestinian shelling.”

The report clarified that the footage shows passengers leaving the waiting area in search of a safe shelter.
