X account, “Jihad Abu Obeida”, recently published a picture showing thick smoke, claiming that it was the result of a fire that broke out in Tel Aviv after it was targeted by Hezbollah on Wednesday 6/11/2024.
Kashif verified the image via “Google Images” tool and found that it is old and was incorrectly linked to Hezbollah targeting Tel Aviv. The image dates back to a fire that broke out in the city of Jeddah, western Saudi Arabia, on 29/9/2019.
AFP published the photo on 29/9/2019, with the following description: “Cars drive by as thick smoke engulfs the Haramain-High-Speed train Station building after a fire broke out, in Saudi Arabia’s western city of Jeddah, on September 29, 2019.”
Hezbollah announced on Wednesday, 6/11/2024, that it had targeted the “Tserfin” military base of the Israeli occupation army, located south of Tel Aviv, with “Fateh 110” missiles.
For its part, the Israeli occupation army launched several raids on Thursday 7/11/2024 on various areas in the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut.
