A link attributed to Première Urgence Internationale (PUI) has been circulating on social media, claiming that it is for registering for cash assistance for families in the Gaza Strip.
Kashif verified the link and found that it was fake. Kashif contacted the media officer at the International Relief Organization – Gaza Office, Ghaid Al-Hissi, who denied publishing any links to register for a cash assistance grant provided by the organization.
Al-Hissi explained that the organization opened the door for registration and collecting information from citizens to provide cash and other services several months ago, not recently.
The organization also denied, via its official Facebook account on 17/11/2024, that the link to register for cash assistance in circulation had been issued by it, calling for reliance exclusively on information issued by the organization’s official accounts.
Première Urgence Internationale (PUI) is an international, non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, non-religious aid organization that helps civilian victims who are marginalized or excluded due to the effects of war, natural disasters, and economic collapse.
