A statement attributed to the Israeli Minister of defense, Yoav Gallant, about Hassan Allah not being killed has spread on social media. The text reads: “Israeli Defense Minister (Yoav Gallant): Nasrallah was not killed. We have monitored information about his presence and Hezbollah lied about his death in order to hide it.”
Kashif verified the statement and found that it was impersonated, as the Monitor searched the official pages of Yoav Gallant and the official websites of the Israeli occupation army and did not find a statement from him about Hassan Nasrallah not being killed or monitoring information about his presence.
Gallant’s latest statement, on Wednesday 2/10/2024, via X, mourns 8 Israeli occupation soldiers who were killed in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli occupation army announced on Saturday 28/9/2024 the killing of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in a raid on Friday that targeted the southern suburb of Beirut, and Hezbollah confirmed this in a statement as well.
