Social media accounts posted a video of an aid airdrop to the Gaza Strip, claiming it was a recent operation carried out by the Israeli occupation. The caption reads: “Sorry for the typo, Israel is dropping aid packages. This is the first time in history that a country has provided aid to its enemy during an ongoing war.”

Kashif verified the video via Google Lens search and found that it was an old video, originally circulated in October 2024. 

Spanish-Speaking RT account on X published the video on 18 October 2024, along with the following caption: “Planes drop humanitarian aid in southern Gaza. Authorities in the United Arab Emirates announced on Thursday the 51st airdrop of humanitarian aid to the Strip. With this, the Arab country has sent a total of 3,463 tons of food and relief supplies.”

Kashif verified the video on 19 May 2025, after it was circulated at the time as aid airdrop to the Gaza Strip by China. 

The Israeli occupation army announced on 26 July 2025, that it had airdropped humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, explaining that it included seven aid packages containing flour, sugar, and canned food. 

The Israeli military announced that safe corridors would be opened in Gaza and that aid would be allowed to be dropped by air. Meanwhile, Israeli President Isaac Herzog admitted that the plan to drop aid and open humanitarian corridors to the Gaza Strip came after numerous international pressures.
