Social media accounts posted a video clip of a fire in a building, claiming it was from the Mossad headquarters in Israel. The clip was accompanied by the following text: “The Israeli Mossad headquarters was targeted with a hypersonic missile from Yemen.”

One source of the claim

Kashif verified the video via Google Images search and found it to be old and the claim misleading. It was first circulated in December 2023 and documents a fire that broke out at Ankora Hospital in Hyderabad, India.

Today India News posted the video on YouTube on 23/12/2023, with the following caption: “Fire breaks out at Ankora Hospital in Hyderabad.” The clip did not include the commentary heard in the circulating video. Press Trust of India posted a video of the same incident on its X account on the same date, 23/12/2023, with the following caption: “Fire breaks out at Ankora Hospital in Gudimalkapur, Hyderabad.”

ABP Live English reported that a fire broke out at Ancora Hospital in Hyderabad, India, after an electrical short circuit caused an advertising billboard to catch fire.

The Houthis have not recently announced targeting the headquarters of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. However, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Yahya Saree issued a statement on Sunday, 27/4/2025, regarding the targeting of the Israeli Nevatim Air Base in the Negev region with a hypersonic ballistic missile. He stated that “the operation successfully achieved its goal.”
