Social media accounts posted a video of the night sky, claiming it showed a strange phenomenon occurring recently in the skies of the Gaza Strip, “A strange phenomenon is occurring in the skies of Gaza. No one knows what is happening. Everyone is crying and saying ‘Allahu Akbar’. Are these “Sijeel stones (Divine stones)?”

One source of the claim

Kashif verified the video clip via Google Images search and found that the claim is misleading. The clip dates back to an Iranian missile attack on the occupation in early October 2024.

Journalist Mahmoud Al-Amoudi from the Gaza Strip posted the video on his Facebook account on 1/10/2024, asking what was happening at that time. His voice can be heard in the background. Al-Amoudi’s posting of the video coincided with an Iranian missile attack on Israel.
