Information has spread on social media claiming that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was assassinated in Alexandria on Tuesday 10/12/2024.
Kashif verified the information and found it to be fabricated. Kashif searched the official websites of the Egyptian presidency and Egyptian, Arab and international media and found no mention of information about Sisi being assassinated.
The official spokesman for the Arab Republic of Egypt posted on Facebook on Tuesday evening 10/12/2024 a group of recent photos of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi that reads: “President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived at his residence in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, a short while ago, at the conclusion of his European tour.”
The spokesman of the Egyptian Republic announced on 5/12/2024 that Sisi would leave Egypt to begin a European tour starting in Norway and ending in Ireland.
