A video clip of a bombing has recently spread on social media with the claim that it was a missile attack carried out by the Syrian army on the Aleppo countryside. The clip was accompanied by the following text: “Scenes of the missile attack carried out by the Syrian army on the positions of the Al-Nusra Front and their movements in the western Aleppo countryside.”
Kashif verified the video via “Google Images” tool and found that it is old and was incorrectly linked to the “Deterrence of Aggression” military operation in Syria. The clip was circulated in June 2020, i.e. before the announcement of the start of the “Deterrence of Aggression” operation on 27/11/2024.
“Libyan Army .01.” Facebook account published the video clip on 4/6/2024, and posted by the account “Libyan people against terrorism” on Facebook on 29/6/2024 and mentioned that he is from Libya.
Kashif was unable to verify the context of the video, but its old publication in 2020 confirms that it was before the start of the “Deterrence of Aggression” military operation in Syria on 27/11/2024.
