A video clip showing huge fires in Beirut has been circulating on social media, “Tragic scenes in Beirut last night after another round of Israeli airstrikes on civilians.”
Kashif verified the video via “Google Images” tool and open sources, and found that the video consists of two different clips, the first clip was generated by artificial intelligence and published by TikTok account, “digital.n0mad” on 1/10/2024, and was classified as AI-generated content. Upon examining the content included by digital.n0mad account, it was found that it creates content using artificial intelligence, and publishes many photos and videos generated by this technology. The account also describes itself as an “extraordinary AI artist.”
Kashif’s team also noticed, through examining the details of the video, a set of signs that indicate that it was produced by artificial intelligence, such as: the colors of the video, and the shape and movement of the fire.
The second clip of the video, which begins with the presenter speaking “Again, Samar,” was published by Al Jadeed TV on Facebook on 6/10/2024, “A very violent raid launched by the Israeli enemy on the southern suburbs of Beirut caused a huge explosion.” The clip in circulation occurs between 1:10 and 1:27.

In return, Hezbollah announced that it had confronted the Israeli occupation forces in the Maroun Forest, which resulted in deaths and injuries among its ranks, in addition to shelling Israeli targets with missiles.
