A video for an injured girl was shared with a claim that she had died

A video of a girl on a hospital bed struggling to speak to her father, and saying that she can’t see him was shared widely on social media with the claim that she had died.
The video captioned: “This girl’s father was by her side before she passed away, she says: ‘Dad, I can’t see you, I see two,’ and then her soul peacefully transitions from the world of the living to the world of the martyrs”.

kashif verified the claim and found it to be misleading. Iyad Al-Madhoun, the father of the girl, Hanin, told Kashif that she is in good health, recovering, and staying with him in a tent in Muwassi, Khan Yunis.

Hanin’s father added to Kashif that she was injured by shrapnel in her abdomen during the first month of the war in northern Gaza. Her injury was severe, and she continued receiving treatment at Al-Shifa Hospital until its besiege by the Israeli army, forcing patients to move to the southern part of the Strip. Hanin completed her treatment at Gaza-European Hospital in Khan Yunis.
