A video clip has recently spread on “X” showing the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, making a video call with a person who is claimed to be a Saudi blogger congratulating Netanyahu after the killing of Yahya Sinwar. The claim reads: “Do you believe that a Saudi blogger was able to contact Netanyahu to congratulate Netanyahu on the killing of Yahya Sinwar?”
Kashif verified the video via “Google Images” and found that it is old and the claim is misleading. The clip dates back to a call between the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Saudi blogger, Mohammed Saud, in December 2019, i.e. before the announcement of the killing of the late head of the political bureau of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, on 18/10/2024.
TRT Arabic channel published the video on YouTube on 12/27/2019, with the following title: “A call between Netanyahu and Saudi blogger Mohammed Saud.”
Al Mayadeen channel also published the video on YouTube on 27/12/2019, the video description read, “Saudi normalizer Mohammed Saud calls Netanyahu from Riyadh during the Likud Party voting process to offer support and wishes he could vote for Netanyahu.”
Hamas announced on 18/10/2024 the killing of its political bureau chief Yahya Sinwar in a clash with the Israeli occupation army in Tel al-Sultan in the city of Rafah.
