The head of the Northern West Bank Settlements Council,\u00a0Yossi Dagan,<\/a>\u00a0announced the establishment of a council to return to the settlement of Sanur near Jenin, which was evacuated in 2005. In May 2025, the Israeli-Hebrew\u00a0newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth<\/a>\u00a0confirmed that the Israeli security cabinet secretly approved the construction of 22 settlements in the West Bank, noting that the decision includes the re-establishment of the settlements of Homesh and Sanur, which were previously dismantled as part of the “disengagement” plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
