Information<\/a>\u00a0has spread on social media\u00a0about the death of young man, Adi Damra, from the town of Bruqin in Salfit, as a result of a snake bite. His wedding was scheduled for Friday, 18 July 2025. The claim read: \u201cA tragedy in Bruqin\/Salfit, the death of young man, Adi Ibrahim Mustafa Damra, after being bitten by a snake. Adi\u2019s wedding was supposed to be tomorrow, Friday, but God\u2019s will and destiny are stronger than all dreams. May God have mercy on him and grant patience to his family.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

Kashif verified the information and found it to be inaccurate. Bashar Damra, the brother of the young man, Uday Damra, told Kashif that the information claiming that Uday died as a result of a snakebite is incorrect. He added that their house is located on the second floor, far from an area where reptiles are found or can climb, which refutes the claim that he died from a snakebite. He said that they found Uday dead inside his house at approximately 3:00 PM. He noted that he did not suffer from any health conditions, but he was completely hearing impaired and was 33 years old. He added that the official autopsy results have not yet been released and are being followed up by the family, the Palestinian police, and the Public Prosecution, but preliminary information indicates that he died of a heart attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kashif also contacted Jamal Al-Amwasi, an animal and snake expert, who said that few deaths are recorded from the bite of the Palestine viper. In recent years, some deaths have been recorded, including in Nazareth. With the advancement of medicine, antivenom and antibiotics have become available for snakebites. He added: \u201cThe bite of the Palestine viper is considered poisonous, but it can be treated by taking an antidote for its venom, frozen at 200 degrees below zero, then injecting it into horses for a full year. The horses\u2019 blood is then taken and the antidote is isolated, with an effectiveness rate of 99%.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
